Lumber Wizard 4 Tuning Instructions

Fine Tuning Adjustment: If your Lumber Wizard 4 continuously beeps, has alternating red/green flashing lights, or doesn’t detect, the unit may need a fine tuning adjustment.

To fine tune your Lumber Wizard, turn the unit on. While holding the unit away from any metal, use a small screwdriver to turn the adjustment screw located on top of the unit. With sound on turn the screw from all the way to the left very slowly (beep will be constant) to the right just to the very point where the tone stops. This may take a couple times but you want to be right at the very point where it stops beeping when turning from left to right. Turn it off then back on. Test the unit on a visible piece of metal.

Temperature Limitations: The Lumber Wizard 4 should never be stored or used in temperatures below 40 degrees or in damp or extremely humid or moist environments. Store indoors!

Please Note: When Tuning It Is Vital To Turn The Tuning Screw Starting At Far Left Rotation (unit will beep constantly) Then Turn Very Slowly To The Right And Stop Right At Point Where Beeping Stops.
Also Ensure Battery Has At Least 8.4 Volts.
